Regional Agronomist

Locations: Indiana, Illinois, Ohio

Primary responsibility of the Regional Agronomist is to provide excellent customer service to integrated crop management (crop scouting, soil sampling, etc.) clients as well as grow his/her territory through lead generation/sales. The RA is also responsible for managing/recruiting crop scouts and field techs. RA will work with AAS Associates and vendors to develop research plots and report findings.

Qualities and background:
• Qualified agronomic knowledge and education (Bachelors of Science, 5+ years experience)
• CCA and TSP certification preferred
• Microsoft Office, Easisuite, Farmworks, GPS, and PDAs are second nature
• CRM experience
• Honest, trustworthy and passionate
• Future driven and goal oriented
• Organized and able to manage time efficiently
• Able to follow company processes and procedures
• Effective communication and writing skills
• Able to manage and be managed
• Able to make decisions that fit with the AAS vision and mission
• Thirst for knowledge!
• Able to drive large trucks with trailers

Environment:
• Home office
• 80% travel in territory
• 60% in the fields

Junior Regional Agronomist

Locations: West Central Indiana

Primary responsibility of the Junior Regional Agronomist is to work with the Regional Agronomist to provide excellent customer service to integrated crop management (crop scouting, soil sampling, etc.) clients as well as grow the territory through lead generation/sales.

• Interested in getting CCA certification
• Honest, trustworthy and passionate

• Organized and able to manage time efficiently
• Ability to follow company processes and procedures (and suggest ways to improve them)
• Effective communication and writing skills
• Able to manage and be managed
• Able to make decisions that fit with the AAS vision and mission
• Knowledge of Outlook, Easisuite, Farmworks, GPS, and PDAs are preferred
• Thirst for knowledge!
• Able to drive large trucks with trailers

Environment:
• Home office
• 95% travel in territory
• 85% in the fields (Crop Scouting, Soil Sampling, GPS Sensor Mapping, etc.)

GIS Technician

Location: Lafayette, Indiana

Primarily responsible for preparing GPS based agronomic reports and performing spatial analysis of on-farm trials.

Qualities and background:
• Entry level with appropriate intern experience (Bachelors of Science in Agronomy or related field)
• Qualified agronomic knowledge and education (training in research and data management along with basic cropping knowledge a plus)
• Organized and detail oriented
• GIS software experience
• Microsoft Office experience
• CRM knowledge
• Knowledge of GPS software and hardware
• Able to set and meet deadlines
• Able to manage time effectively

Field Tech

Are you looking for real in-field experience? Do you need a flexible schedule? Contact us today to learn about opportunities in your region.

Job tasks and responsibilities regularly performed: Regularly collect soil samples from clients fields. Use GPS technology to successfully track and monitor field sample locations. Effectively collect, label and ship samples to labs for analysis. Report findings to supervisor and make general comments helpful to management decisions. This position requires a valid driver’s license, experience and/or training in crop scouting and a comfort with a GPS technology, wireless PDA software and field scouting equipment. The individual must be attentive to detail, self-motivated and able to work without direct supervision. Field Techs are asked to manage their own time and gather information in an effective manner. This position offers in-field experience, hourly pay, mileage reimbursements and a flexible schedule.
